Beberavi's work is deeply rooted in community impact, with a focus on uplifting women artisans in Kenya and, over time, expanding to other regions of the Global South. Our beneficiaries span across several interconnected groups: 1. Women Artisans in Kenya (Primary Beneficiaries): Our primary beneficiaries are skilled craftswomen from rural and peri-urban regions in Kenya. Many of these women are under or unemployed, yet they hold rich traditional knowledge in handcrafts such as handknitting, crocheting, weaving, embroidery, beadwork, and natural dyeing. Through our model, they gain: • Fair, dignified employment • Access to sustainable income streams • Capacity building in craft, entrepreneurship, and digital literacy • Leadership opportunities within their communities 2. Artisan Families and Local Communities in Kenya: When women thrive economically, their families and communities benefit too. Increased income leads to better access to education, healthcare, and improved living conditions. Our approach fosters local resilience and strengthens the role of women in community development. 3. Emerging Women Creatives and Designers: We also serve women creatives and fashion entrepreneurs — particularly those connected to the diaspora — by offering them collaborative opportunities, mentorship, and global exposure through design partnerships and capsule collections. 4. Ethical and Conscious Consumers: Our global customer base includes socially conscious consumers who want to support sustainable and ethical fashion. They benefit from access to beautifully crafted, story-rich garments that are environmentally and socially responsible. 5. The Broader Ethical Fashion Ecosystem: By centering artisan voices, applying circular design, and ensuring traceability, Beberavi influences the wider fashion industry to embrace equity, sustainability, and cultural authenticity. We are actively contributing to systems change in the fashion and lifestyle sectors.
